What we do

What does PRP do?

Looking for an innovative way to develop communication skills and drive behavioral change in the workplace? At Professional Role Players Limited (PRP Ltd), we specialise in providing professional role players and facilitators to organisations across both the public and private sectors.

Founded in 1997, PRP has over 27 years of experience in harnessing the power of theatre-based learning to transform workplace communication. Our practical, interactive approach has consistently delivered genuine and lasting behavioral change in individuals and teams. We believe that learning should be engaging, immersive, and impactful—and that’s exactly what we offer.

Through carefully crafted scenarios and skilled role play, participants gain firsthand experience in navigating challenging conversations, improving empathy, and refining their interpersonal skills. The staggering positive responses from clients and participants alike continue to fuel our passion for creating transformative learning experiences.

How did PRP start?

PRP was founded by Phill Doulton, who trained as an actor at Rose Bruford College, London’s prestigious International Drama School of Theatre and Performance. Early in his career, Phill used his expertise to run workshops aimed at supporting individuals with mental health challenges and acute learning difficulties. Witnessing the profound impact of drama on behavioral change, Phill’s vision for using role play in professional development was born.

In 1992, Phill pioneered the first communications teaching program at Guy’s Hospital, King’s College London. The overwhelming success of this initiative inspired him to establish PRP in 1997, with the goal of spreading his innovative style of teaching across a wide range of industries. Since then, PRP has grown to become a trusted leader in role play-based communication training.
